Berlin-based producer Re:You teams up with the South African spoken word poet Lazarusman for his second release on Connected.
“They Vibed!”, Lazarusman proclaims over the sound of punchy percussions and shaky rhythms. A love letter to late nights, this leading track will likely keep clubgoers on their feet until the morning hours. “Try To Sleep”, ironically, is quite the opposite of a lullaby. Beeps and bumping bass drums erupt in a sea of crackling sounds. Last but not least the record finishes with a dub version of “They Vibed”, a stripped down arrangement with reverbed vocals for a more minimal listening experience.
